Getting Started

Fixed. Once we sign a contract, the price does not change unless you request a scope change in writing. No surprise invoices at the end of the project.
Yes. We require a deposit to begin work, typically 10-20% of the project total. The payment schedule is outlined in your contract before any work begins.
We typically book 4-8 weeks out for most projects. For larger additions and ADUs, 8-12 weeks is common. Contact us early to secure your spot on the schedule.
Permits & Licensing
Yes. Hawley Construction Co. is a Florida State Certified General Contractor, fully licensed, bonded, and insured. We carry general liability and workers' compensation insurance on every project.
Yes. We pull every required permit through Pinellas County, the City of St. Petersburg, Hillsborough County, or whichever municipality your project falls under. Permit costs are included in your quote.
Yes. We coordinate with your HOA to obtain any required approvals before work begins.
During Construction
For most kitchen and bathroom remodels, yes. We set up temporary accommodations (a kitchenette in another room, access to a second bathroom) and maintain daily site cleanup to minimize disruption.
We clean the job site at the end of every workday. Debris is removed regularly and we use dust barriers to protect the rest of your home.
Landon Hawley personally oversees every project. You will meet him at the estimate, see him regularly during construction, and he conducts the final walkthrough.
We work Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm. Saturday work is available for certain project phases when needed.
Timelines
Most full kitchen remodels run 6-10 weeks from demolition to final walkthrough. Cabinet lead times can push this 1-2 weeks if you choose custom cabinetry.
A standard bathroom remodel takes 3-6 weeks. A half-bath refresh can be completed in 2-3 weeks. A full master bathroom renovation with custom tile takes 5-8 weeks.
A home addition typically takes 3-6 months from permit approval to completion, depending on size and complexity. The design and permitting phase adds 4-8 weeks before construction begins.
A standard Trex deck takes 1-3 weeks to build. Custom multi-level decks may take 3-5 weeks.
Warranties & Guarantees
Yes. We provide a one-year workmanship warranty on all our work. Materials carry their own manufacturer warranties — Trex decking, for example, comes with a 25-year fade and stain warranty.
We do not consider a project complete until you are fully satisfied. If there is an issue, contact Landon directly and we will address it promptly.
